This small smart TV from Toshiba was developed in collaboration with Amazon. It runs a full-fledged version of FireOS, so you have access to over 15,000 channels and apps without the extra expense of a streaming box. We prefer the Roku platform over Amazon’s, but if you’re on a budget, the Toshiba Fire TV is a little bit cheaper.

The television’s remote control has Amazon’s voice assistant, Alexa, built right in. This means you can control TV playback, use smart home devices, launch apps, search for shows, play music, and switch inputs all with your voice. Plus, it’s equipped with three HDMI ports, a USB port, an optical output, an Ethernet jack, and a cable output. If you don’t want a smart TV, we recommend the TCL 32D100 for those on a budget.

Samsung The Frame Smart TV

The Frame is a fresh new take on a high-end 4K TV by Samsung, which doubles as a gorgeous art exhibition when you’re not watching your favorite shows. When in art mode, the TV can display 100 gorgeous free works of art, as well as your personal photos.

As its name suggests, the TV looks like a frame when mounted on the wall. Users also have the option to change the TV’s wood frame to better match their home decor. The Frame also comes bundled with Samsung’s brand-new, no-gap wall mount, so it sits flush against your wall.

When it comes to picture quality, the Frame features a 4K resolution so it’s much more vivid than most small televisions. However, the Frame boasts a 43-inch screen so it’s also much larger than every other option in our roundup. Regardless, if you want a unique television that is unlike any other, you can’t go wrong with the Frame.

Samsung 40NU7100 Smart TV

This option from Samsung is one of the most affordable 4K TVs the manufacturer currently offers. It has a good contrast ratio and a low input lag, and it lets you watch stunning high dynamic range content. It’s equipped with three HDMI ports and two USB jacks, and it runs Samsung’s Tizen Smart TV platform so you can download and stream all your favorite shows from numerous apps. 

We think its 40-inch size is the perfect balance between being small enough for most setups, but large enough to experience what 4K content has to offer.

LG 32LK610BPUA 32-Inch 720p Smart LED TV

The LG 32LK610BPUA features an eye-pleasing design with small bezels, three HDMI ports, and a 32-inch 720p LED display panel with solid image quality and support for active HDR. This LG unit’s speakers dish out an impressive “virtual surround sound” that’s detailed and lifelike.

Plus, it runs the manufacturer’s webOS smart TV platform. The latter supports all major streaming services, including Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, HBO, and YouTube, among others. If you want to save some money, consider the 32LK540BPUA instead, which has one fewer HDMI port.

Samsung UN32N5300AFXZA 32-Inch 1080p Smart LED TV

Samsung’s UN32N5300AFXZA is a premium small smart TV with a 32-inch 1080p LED display that offers a much more vibrant and detailed picture compared to other models. Our only complaint is that it has just two HDMI ports. Others in its price range offer at least three ports.

On the plus side, the TV has Wi-Fi connectivity, which allows it to stream video or music from today’s popular services, including Netflix, Amazon, and Spotify.

Sony KDL32W600D 32-Inch HD Smart TV

The KDL32W600D by Sony has a 32-inch LED panel with a 720p HD resolution. Considering this option is from 2016, it’s obvious that Sony hasn’t focused its many resources on the small TV market. Regardless, the device still supports major streaming services such as Netflix, Hulu, and YouTube. You can also play content from a USB driver or cast it from your smartphone.

Despite being from 2016, this offering still provides exceptional image quality in a sleek body. If you have a larger budget and enough space for it, consider opting for Sony’s newer 4K 43-inch TV, dubbed the 800E, instead.

Vizio D-Series D32F-F1 32-Inch SmartCast LED TV

This 32-inch Vizio D-Series TV allows you to cast content from your favorite streaming apps and services to it from your mobile device. Key features of the TV include a 1080p LED display panel and DTS StudioSound support. You can also control the TV by using your voice through your Google Assistant-powered smart speaker.

LG 43UK6300PUE 43-Inch 4K Ultra HD Smart LED TV

With a screen size of 43-inches, this 4K LG TV is the largest “small” TV on our lineup. It runs the tech giant’s latest webOS 3.5 platform, which streams video from all major services, including YouTube. LG’s Channel Plus app grants access to more than 70 free premium internet channels, too.

It also supports voice commands for changing settings and searching for content through your Amazon Alexa smart speaker. It’s an awesome HDR-compatible TV with excellent image quality, but it’s pricier than most other small TVs. That’s to be expected, though, considering its larger screen size.

TCL 28S305 28-Inch 720p Roku Smart LED TV

This 28-inch TV by TCL features three HDMI inputs, while several other TVs this size only have one or two. The display offers a crisp 720p high-definition resolution and a 60 Hz refresh rate with minimal motion blur. It also has a built-in Roku streaming device for watching your favorite shows and movies online.

If you want an even smaller smart TV, consider the 24-inch Insignia Fire TVEdition, instead. It doesn’t run Roku, but rather uses Amazon’s Fire TV streaming platform.
