Rachael Harris Finds Renewed Confidence Thanks To Impulsive Hair Chop

Actress Rachael Harris attended the premiere of her new film "Mother of the Bride" with a noticeably shorter hairdo, departing from her usual long blonde style. The event took place in Los Angeles on May 8th.

For the black strapless gown she wore to the event, Harris paired it with a fresh chopped haircut.
She told reporters on the red carpet that she was ready for a change after maintaining the same look for many years. Harris credited her trusted hairstylist Heather Abuel, who has cut her hair for two decades, with giving her the dramatic new look.

Rachael said she impulsively gave Heather a call one day and briefly mentioned wanting to go shorter with her hair. Without hesitation, Heather was totally on board with the idea. "Before I could even say more, she was like 'Yes, bring it over now!'" laughed Rachael. The fresh cut has given Rachael an energy boost and she feels much freer. While she sees hair as something that can really change up your look when switched up, Rachael appreciates how it influences other areas like makeup, outfits, and overall styling. Heather has been cutting her hair for 20 years now so Rachael trusted she'd love the end result, and she was right.

In the film "Mother of the Bride", Brooke Shields stars as Lana whose daughter Emma, played by Miranda Cosgrove, announces she will marry abroad very soon. Drama ensues when Lana discovers Emma's fiance is the son of Lana's past love interest. The romantic comedy lands on Netflix on May 9th and also features Chad Michael Murray, Wilson Cruz, and others.
Harris believes shortening her hair carries symbolic power to feel truer to oneself. She is pleased with the results and thinks the change will positively impact her forthcoming on-screen appearances.
