The Versatile & Comfy Tracksuits from the 90s
Another fashion trend that comes to mind when one thinks of the 90s is the trusty tracksuit. Tracksuits had become popular by the middle of the decade and continued to be a staple in many wardrobes all throughout the 90s. This comfortable yet stylish alternative to formal wear meant freedom of movement and comfort.
Tracksuits were made from different materials but most commonly from a comfortable type of polyester. Most of the time, tracksuits would come in two pieces - a shirt and trousers or shorts, and sometimes even three pieces - with a matching jacket. The popular colors were bold hues such as deep reds and bright blues, however, traditional black and grey were also quite popular. The vibrant colors and versatile design made the tracksuit a fashion must-have at the time.

The tracksuits of the 90s came in a broad range of designs to suit everyone’s personal tastes. From the classic plain-colored tracksuits to those covered in exaggerated patterns such as flowers, polka dots, and stripes - all of them were equally stylish and eye-catching. Some tracksuits would also feature various embroidery or appliques to decorate them.
The 90s were also the era of bold logos that could be seen on all kinds of garments. This included the tracksuit, with many of them flaunting large logos from different brands in order to draw attention. Popular logos included Nike, Reebok, PUMA, and Adidas. These throwback tracksuits are now becoming increasingly popular and can be found in many online stores nowadays.

Tracksuits were not only popular amongst sports enthusiasts but quickly became a true fashion statement during the 90s. Not only did they look stylish, but it was also possible to dress more formally when needed by adding an overcoat and pairing it with matching shoes. This made tracksuits a versatile piece of clothing that could be worn for all kinds of occasions.
